If you contact us outside of business hours, simply leave us a voicemail, text, or email, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible on the next business day.
How You’ll Hear From Us
We’ll keep you informed throughout your pet’s care with helpful texts, emails, and the occasional phone call.
- Text Messages: Appointment confirmation, your estimated arrival window the day before your visit, and a text when we’re on our way.
- Emails: Annual exam reminders, medication refill reminders, and our monthly Tails & Tips newsletter with pet care tips and practice updates from Dr. Cifranick. To ensure you receive it, please add tailsandtips@woofdoctor.vet to your contacts or safe sender list.
- Phone Calls: We’ll check in after your appointment to see how your pet is doing and answer any follow-up questions.
How to Schedule An Appointment
Scheduling an appointment is easy. The fastest way is through our online scheduler, but you’re always welcome to call, text, or email us if you have questions or would like help finding the right appointment for your pet.
Because we schedule appointments by location to provide the most efficient routes, we recommend booking routine and annual visits in advance whenever possible.
How to Prepare for a Visit
We’ve created resources to help you know what to expect before your first visit, how to prepare your home and your pet, and the questions you may want to ask during your appointment.

How to Drop Off Samples
Need to drop off a stool, urine, or another laboratory sample? Contact us first, and we’ll text you the drop-off address along with these photos so you know exactly where to go. When you arrive, follow the photos to the designated sample drop-off location. Place your sample in the black mini refrigerator labeled “DROP OFF SAMPLES.” Before dropping it off, please make sure the sample is clearly labeled with:
- Your name
- Your pet’s name
- Your phone number
Please drop off samples Monday through Friday before 3:00 PM so they can be sent to the laboratory the same day. Once you’ve dropped off your sample, simply call or text us to let us know it’s there, and we’ll take care of the rest and send you an invoice for the requested testing.
If you have trouble finding the drop-off location or have questions about collecting or labeling your sample, just give us a call or send us a text. We’re happy to help.

Sick, Urgent, & Emergency Concerns
If your pet isn’t feeling well, the first step is to call or text us during normal business hours (Mon–Fri 9a–5p). We’ll help assess the urgency of your pet’s condition, discuss your options, and recommend the most appropriate next step. Because we’re a mobile practice with scheduled routes, same-day appointments aren’t always possible.
However, depending on your pet’s needs, we may schedule an appointment, send a member of our Veterinary Technician Team to evaluate your pet and collaborate with Dr. Cifranick, or recommend that your pet be seen by an urgent care or emergency hospital.
Our Emergency Decision Guide can also help you determine the appropriate level of care. It walks you through many of the most common illnesses, injuries, and emergencies pet owners face, explains what you can safely monitor at home, how to manage conditions at home, what should be seen by your veterinarian, and what requires immediate emergency care. It also includes a simple decision tree to help guide you when you’re unsure what to do next.
If your pet becomes sick outside of our normal business hours, please review the Emergency Decision Guide. If you believe your pet is experiencing an emergency, don’t wait. Contact the nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately. If the situation is urgent but not life-threatening, leave us a voicemail, text, or email, and we’ll respond as soon as possible on the next business day. If your pet is seen by another veterinarian or emergency hospital, we’re always happy to coordinate care and share medical records to ensure a smooth transition.

How to Access Your Pet’s Medical Records
Need a copy of your pet’s records? The quickest and easiest way is to call, text, or email us, and we’ll gladly send your records whenever you need them.
You can also access your pet’s records through the Digitail app. Simply download the app and sign in using the same email address you use for your WoofDoctor on Wheels account. While the app provides access to your pet’s medical records, most clients find it faster and more convenient to contact us directly. We do not recommend using the app to contact us or schedule appointments.

Online Pharmacy & Your Pet’s Medications
Most prescriptions from WoofDoctor on Wheels are filled through our online pharmacy (BlueRabbit). There, you can order prescription medications, monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives, prescription diets, supplements, and more—all delivered directly to your door. You can also set up AutoShip for medications your pet receives regularly, helping you save money and ensuring your pets never miss a dose.
For medications that are needed more urgently, such as antibiotics, pain medications, seizure medications, or other appropriate prescriptions, we’re often able to send them directly to your preferred local pharmacy for pickup.
If you prefer to purchase your pet’s monthly flea, tick, or heartworm preventatives through Chewy, 1800-PetMeds, or Amazon, we’re also happy to review and approve those prescription requests.
If you’re signing into BlueRabbit for the first time, simply use the same email address associated with your WoofDoctor on Wheels account to access your pharmacy profile. Throughout your pet’s care, Dr. Cifranick may recommend supplements, dental products, mobility aids, or other over-the-counter items to support your pet’s health. Many of these recommendations can also be found on our Recommended Products page, making it easy to find the products we trust and recommend most often.

Ways to Pay for Care
Most in-home care visits include three simple components: an Exam Fee, a Travel Fee, and any Services or Products your pet receives during the appointment. Visit our Pricing page for a complete explanation and a full list of fees.
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards, with payment due at the end of your appointment. At this time, we do not accept CareCredit or Scratchpay.
For families who prefer more predictable veterinary expenses, our Care Plans bundle many of the services pets receive throughout the year into convenient monthly payments. Plans are designed around your pet’s individual needs and include built-in savings, instant account credit that can be used toward nearly any WoofDoctor on Wheels service, and the flexibility to choose the level of care that’s right for your pet. Many plans also help cover routine care, surgeries, medications, and unexpected illnesses, making it easier to budget for your pet’s healthcare throughout the year.
Through the WoofDoctor Angel Fund, we also provide an additional way for our community to help pets in need. Donations made to the fund help eligible WoofDoctor on Wheels clients whose pets need veterinary care but are experiencing financial hardship. Every donation stays within our WoofDoctor on Wheels community, helping local pets receive the care they need when they need it most. If you’d like to support another family, you can donate to the Angel Fund at any time.

Types of Appointments
We offer three types of appointments designed to work together, giving your pet the right level of care at the right time. Whether your pet needs a comprehensive veterinary exam, routine in-home care, or quick guidance over the phone, our team can help you choose the most appropriate option.
Veterinary Care with Dr. Cifranick
Our in-home veterinary visits (and telemedicine appointments, when appropriate) provide comprehensive medical care, including annual exams, sick visits, diagnostics, surgery, and treatment plans. These appointments form the foundation of your pet’s healthcare.
Veterinary Technician In-Home Visits
Many routine and follow-up services don’t require a full veterinary exam. Our Veterinary Technician Team brings these services directly to your home, making care more convenient, less stressful for your pet, and more affordable. These visits are ideal for recurring services like nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expressions, laboratory sample collection, booster vaccines, injections, laser therapy, ultrasounds, and veterinarian-directed follow-up care.
Phone Calls with a Veterinary Technician
Sometimes you simply need advice or aren’t sure whether your pet needs to be seen. Vet tech phone appointments give established clients direct access to a veterinary technician for guidance, triage, education, and help determining the next best step—often saving an unnecessary trip or helping your pet receive care sooner.
The best part? All three appointment types are included in our Care Plans, making it even easier to access the care your pet needs throughout the year.
