Straightforward Pricing.
No Surprises.
Every visit is built around three simple components: an Exam Fee, a Travel Fee, and any Services or Products your pet receives during the visit. We believe pricing should be easy to understand before your appointment, so you’ll always know what each charge covers. There is one travel fee per visit, regardless of how many pets we see. Each pet has their own exam fee, and any additional services are discussed with you before they’re provided.
How It Works
The cost of your visit depends on the care your pet receives, but the pricing structure stays the same. Every appointment includes an examination (or technician consultation), a travel fee for in-home visits, and any services, diagnostics, treatments, medications, or procedures performed during your appointment.
Exam Fee
$25-$185
Every pet receiving care has an individual examination or technician consultation fee.
During this time, we discuss your pet’s medical history, lifestyle, medications, and any concerns you have before performing a thorough nose-to-tail examination or assessment. This allows us to develop recommendations tailored specifically to your pet.
Because every pet deserves an individual medical evaluation, each pet has their own exam fee.
- Veterinary Exam Fee: $80-$185
- Technician Consultation: $30-$40
- Virtual Technician Consultation: $25
Travel Fee
$45-$160
For in-home appointments, a single travel fee is charged per visit, regardless of how many pets we see during the appointment. This fee helps cover the time, fuel, specialized equipment, and mobile clinic required to bring veterinary care directly to your home.
Travel fees vary based on your location within our service area. Technician appointments have separate travel fees based on the type and location of the visit. Virtual appointments do not have a travel fee.
Services/Products
Variable
The final portion of your visit includes any services or products your pet receives. This may include vaccinations, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, treatments, procedures, surgeries, blood draws, medications, preventive care, prescription diets, medical supplies, or other recommended services.
Every recommendation is discussed with you before it is performed so you can make informed decisions about your pet’s care without pressure or unexpected costs.
Our Prices
We offer two types of in-home appointments so you can receive the right level of care without paying for services you don’t need. Veterinary visits with Dr. Cifranick provide the same comprehensive medical care you’d expect from a traditional clinic, including wellness exams, sick visits, diagnostics, surgery, and prescription care. Our Veterinary Technician Team provides routine care and follow-up services that don’t require a veterinarian, allowing many pets to receive prompt, convenient care while avoiding the cost of a full veterinary exam when one isn’t medically necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer discounts?
At this time, WoofDoctor on Wheels does not offer professional or promotional discounts. Instead, we offer Care Plans, which bundle many of the services your pet receives throughout the year into convenient monthly payments while reducing the overall cost of care. Care Plans are designed to make routine and unexpected veterinary care more predictable and affordable for pet families.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Payment is due at the end of your appointment unless you’re enrolled in one of our Care Plans.
Please note that we do not currently accept CareCredit or Scratchpay.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Our Care Plans allow you to spread the cost of your pet’s care into predictable monthly payments while saving compared to paying for visits individually. Plans are customized around your pet’s age, lifestyle, and healthcare needs, making it easier to budget for both routine and unexpected veterinary care.
How do I know which Care Plan is best for my pet?
Our Care Plan Guide walks you through each available plan, explains what is included, compares the savings, and helps you determine which option may be the best fit based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and medical needs.
For help deciding, call (843) 966-3362 or email info@woofdoctor.vet.
How does pricing work if I have multiple pets?
One of the biggest benefits of mobile veterinary care is that we can see multiple pets during the same visit.
We charge one travel fee per visit, regardless of how many pets we see. Each pet receives their own individual examination because every pet deserves their own medical assessment and treatment recommendations.
Many families appreciate being able to have all of their pets seen during a single appointment, saving both time and additional travel fees.
Learn how in-home visits work or what to expect during your first appointment.
What's included in the exam fee?
The exam fee covers the time your veterinarian or veterinary technician spends evaluating your pet and discussing their care with you.
During a veterinary exam, we’ll review your pet’s medical history, lifestyle, medications, and any concerns you have before performing a thorough nose-to-tail physical examination. We’ll discuss our findings, answer your questions, and develop a care plan tailored to your pet.
The exam fee does not include vaccines, laboratory testing, medications, diagnostic imaging, treatments, or procedures performed during the visit. Those services are added only if needed and are always discussed with you beforehand.
What's the difference between an exam and a comprehensive exam?
A comprehensive exam is designed for pets who need additional time and attention due to more complex medical or behavioral needs. This may include pets with an extensive medical history, multiple or chronic health conditions, or ongoing diagnoses that require continued management.
It may also be appropriate when multiple concerns need to be addressed during one visit, when previous diagnostics or specialist recommendations must be reviewed, or when your pet benefits from a slower, lower-stress approach with additional breaks and appointment time.
Appointment cancellations: How do I cancel, when can I cancel, and is there a fee?
Because we are entirely mobile, we carefully plan our routes the day before appointments and provide an estimated arrival time. We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are subject to a $170 fee for Veterinary Care appointments and a $55 fee for Routine Care/Technician Team appointments.
You can reschedule or cancel through your Kumba account or call 843-966-3362 during regular business hours.
What services do you offer?
WoofDoctor on Wheels provides nearly everything you’d expect from a traditional veterinary clinic, brought directly to your home. Services include wellness care, sick visits, vaccinations, diagnostic testing, digital radiographs, laboratory services, surgery, dentistry, laser therapy, hospice care, and much more.
How do appointments work?
Scheduling is simple and can be completed online or by calling 843-966-3362. We schedule based on your address and offer two appointment windows: 9:00 AM-1:00 PM or 1:00 PM-6:00 PM.
Veterinary Care Visits with Dr. Cifranick are for wellness exams, sick visits, diagnostics, surgery, prescription medications, and concerns that require a veterinarian. Veterinary Technician Care Visits provide routine care and follow-up services such as nail trims, ear cleanings, laboratory services, laser therapy, ultrasounds, booster vaccines, and injections.
On the day of your visit, we arrive in a fully equipped mobile veterinary vehicle and bring everything needed into your home. Appointments typically last 30 to 60 minutes per pet. Recommended services and costs are reviewed with you before anything additional is performed.

Why do you charge a travel fee?
Our travel fee covers the time, fuel, specialized equipment, and resources required to bring a fully equipped veterinary service directly to your home. A single travel fee is charged per visit, regardless of how many pets we see.
Why is there a range for travel fees?
Travel fees vary depending on your location within our service area because some locations require significantly more travel time or have fewer direct access routes.
Veterinary Visits: $90 for Beaufort and Lady’s Island Proper (including Dataw); $120 for Bluffton, Ridgeland, Hardeeville, Seabrook, Dale, Yemassee, Fripp Island, Harbor Island, Lands End, St. Helena Island, Pleasant Point, and Coosaw Island; $160 for Hilton Head Island.
Veterinary Technician Visits: $45 for Beaufort and Lady’s Island Proper (including Dataw); $55 for the Area 2 locations listed above; $65 for Hilton Head Island; or $25 when multiple technician appointments are scheduled in the same neighborhood.
What's the difference between a veterinary technician appointment and a veterinary appointment?
Per South Carolina regulations, pets need an annual veterinary examination to receive medical advice and prescription medications. Dr. Cifranick performs annual exams, rabies vaccinations, diagnostics, and evaluates concerns such as limping, vomiting, behavior changes, and other medical issues.
Our registered technician, Jessica, provides routine and follow-up services including nail trims, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, laboratory services, abdominal and cardiac ultrasound scans, laser therapy, allergy and osteoarthritis injections, booster vaccinations, suture removal, ToeGrip application, Embark DNA testing, and consultation for minor eye, ear, or skin concerns.

What vaccines and laboratory tests are commonly performed during a veterinary visit?
Vaccines and laboratory testing are personalized according to your pet’s age, medical history, lifestyle, environment, travel, exposure risks, and your goals.
Recommendations may include rabies, distemper, parvovirus, feline panleukopenia, bordetella, leptospirosis, canine influenza, Lyme disease, or feline leukemia vaccination when appropriate.
Common annual testing may include heartworm and tick-borne disease screening for dogs, FeLV/FIV screening for cats based on risk, and preventive bloodwork or other diagnostics when indicated. All recommendations and associated costs are discussed before testing or vaccines are provided.
View our recommended vaccination schedule and learn why annual wellness visits matter.
Can you provide an estimate before my appointment?
Yes. We’re happy to discuss pricing and provide estimates before your visit. Some recommendations depend on examination findings, but our team can often give you a good idea of expected costs over the phone. Call 843-966-3362 with any pricing questions before scheduling.
