Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. C was born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised in Buffalo, NY. He attended University College Dublin Veterinary School located in Dublin, Ireland and graduated in 2014. Dr. C chose to return home to Buffalo, NY to start practicing in his hometown of Hamburg. Although loving the Summer and Fall the northeast offers, he grew tired of the dreary Buffalo winters and decided to take his passion for veterinary medicine to Beaufort and has been working in the Lowcountry since 2015.
Dr. C has a passion for nurturing pets through owner education and preventative medicine. Starting WoofDoctor on Wheels in 2020, he envisioned modern state of the art medicine delivered with an old school approach.
Dr. C married his wife, Monica, in August 2022 and they have 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 bearded dragons together (no partridge in a pear tree yet!). In their spare time, you may catch them walking the Spanish Moss Trail, enjoying what Charleston and Savannah have to offer or eating at their favorite places around town. Jessica Parson, LVT

Story time! Once upon a time there was a little girl. This little girl liked to help her brother smuggle animals into the house before their parents returned home. Even after being repeatedly told not to bring stray animals into the house. Guess what? That little girl was Jessica. She believes this is where her passion for animals started. That passion led her to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Veterinary Technology. After college she spent time working in emergency critical care at the University of Georgia Veterinary Hospital.
Although originally from New York, Jessica fell in love with the Lowcountry in 2016. Something about the calm waters and lovely scenery made it feel like home. She has a little human and three fur babies; Chloee her sassy human, Simba an energetic shepherd mix, Wally a dopey mastiff and Luna a feisty calico.
Jessica’s current food addictions are Lowcountry Produce and Urban Brew Company. She tends to plan her day around these two places! Why don’t you join her sometime!
Katie Whalen
Practice Manager
Katie was born and raised in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. She attended West Virginia University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Communications. After graduating, her love for animals led her in a different direction, and she earned her Veterinary Assistant certification in 2014.
Katie started her veterinary career at a busy, six-doctor AAHA-accredited hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She quickly realized she loved not only working with the animals and their owners, but also everything that goes into keeping a veterinary hospital running. She eventually worked her way up to Assistant Manager, gaining experience in team leadership, client communication, hospital operations, and the day-to-day craziness that comes along with veterinary medicine.
In 2020, Katie and her husband, Drew, relocated to Beaufort, South Carolina. She continued her career as the Hospital Manager at Plantation Animal Hospital on Hilton Head Island before deciding to work a little closer to home and joining WoofDoctor on Wheels. As Practice Administrator, Katie helps manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, supports the team, and is always looking for ways to make things run a little smoother as WoofDoctor continues to grow.
Outside of work, Katie spends most of her time with Drew, their son, Grady, and their boxer, Morgan. They love being out on the boat, fishing, spending time with family, and taking advantage of everything that comes with living in the Lowcountry. Katie also loves trying new restaurants (or really just eating her way through Beaufort), a good true crime documentary, and a lazy day at home when she can get one. Most days, though, you can find her chasing Grady around, hanging out by the water, or planning what they’re going to eat next.
Cheryl Miller, RVT, CVBL, FFCP (Veterinary), VCC
Registered Veterinary Technician
Cheryl brings experience in emergency medicine, rehabilitation, veterinary education, and telemedicine to WoofDoctor on Wheels. Her career began with hands-on emergency work while she pursued a business management degree directly after high school, before returning to school in 2014 to earn her degree in Veterinary Technology.
Almost directly after becoming licensed Cheryl pursued training in veterinary physical rehabilitation and became a Primary Therapist at a leading Bay Area rehabilitation facility in California. She has also taught veterinary technology, helping prepare future veterinary professionals for clinical practice. She later transitioned into veterinary telemedicine, contributing to the launch of two telehealth apps before becoming Head of Teletriage for a third company.
At WoofDoctor on Wheels, Cheryl supports clients by helping them better understand their pets’ health needs, care recommendations, and treatment plans. Cheryl holds Fear Free certification and training in cannabis medicine, supporting compassionate, individualized care.
Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys visiting the California coast, cooking, and watching historical fiction or MCU TV shows and movies with her husband, James.
Jessica Mull
Veterinary Assistant
Jessica is a dedicated veterinary professional with over seven years of experience as a veterinary technician, following her early career as a Certified Medical Assistant. She began her journey in animal care as a kennel technician and worked her way up through hands-on experience, developing strong clinical skills and a deep commitment to patient care. She is currently continuing her education through Penn Foster to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, reading, cooking and baking from scratch. She also has a passion for all things Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
Hailie Johnson
Veterinary Assistant
Hailie’s career in veterinary medicine began 4 years ago, as a receptionist, after many years of working in food service. After medically fostering and eventually adopting a kitten who had extensive injuries, she knew her passion for animals was a full time paying gig!
Although born and raised in northern Minnesota, Hailie has been in the Lowcountry area since 2021. In between caring for her 6 cats and close to 100 houseplants, she can be found with a book in her hand sitting on any of the local beaches soaking up the sunshine.
