Understanding WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans: How Predictable Monthly Payments Make Pet Care Easier

WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans offer a simple, predictable way to pay for your pet’s veterinary care through one monthly payment. Instead of facing large, unexpected bills at individual appointments, Care Plans bundle essential services, built-in savings, and flexible account credit into a single annual plan designed around your pet’s needs. In this blog, we’ll explain what Care Plans are, why they exist, how they differ from pet insurance, and how they can help make high-quality mobile veterinary care more affordable and easier to manage—so you can make informed, confident decisions about your pet’s care.

All About WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans

The Real Challenge Pet Parents Face With Veterinary Care

Veterinary care should feel accessible, predictable, and supportive, not stressful or financially overwhelming. Yet for many pet parents, the reality of caring for a pet today feels anything but predictable. Costs are rising, needs are hard to anticipate, and even the most well-intentioned families can feel caught off guard by how quickly expenses add up.

At its core, this challenge is not about wanting less care for pets. It is about wanting to do the right thing without constant financial stress.

Every pet parent wants the same things:

  • To keep their pet healthy
  • To catch problems early
  • To get guidance when something seems “off”
  • To afford high-quality care without surprise bills or impossible decisions

But modern veterinary medicine, while incredibly advanced, has become harder to budget for, especially without a clear plan.

Why Veterinary Costs Feel So Unpredictable

Veterinary medicine has advanced dramatically over the past two decades. Today, pets benefit from:

  • More advanced diagnostics
  • Better medications
  • Improved pain management
  • Earlier disease detection
  • Specialized therapies that extend both quality and length of life

These advancements save lives, but they also come with higher costs.

Between 2023 and 2024 alone, veterinary service costs rose by nearly 8%, and that upward trend shows no sign of slowing. Procedures that once cost a few thousand dollars decades ago may now cost several times more, particularly in emergency or specialty hospital settings.

It is important to note that the highest bills, often quoted in the $8,000 to $10,000 range, are most commonly associated with emergency or specialty hospitals and not primary care providers like WoofDoctor on Wheels. Still, even routine and non-emergency care has become more expensive over time, leaving pet parents unsure how to plan.

The result is that costs do not arrive evenly. They arrive in chunks:

  • An exam and travel fee
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Preventative medications
  • A dental recommendation
  • A follow-up visit
  • A flare-up of an ongoing condition
  • An unexpected illness or injury

One visit might feel manageable. Several in a year can feel overwhelming.

What Pet Parents Can Expect to Pay Each Year

Many families underestimate what routine, responsible veterinary care actually costs over time.

On an annual basis, pet parents commonly pay for:

  • Annual or semi-annual exams, including travel for mobile care
  • Vaccines and rabies updates
  • Parasite screening, bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal testing
  • Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
  • Dental cleanings
  • Spay or neuter procedures for younger pets

Depending on a pet’s age, breed, and health, additional care may include:

  • Chronic condition management such as allergies, arthritis, gastrointestinal disease, diabetes
  • Ear and skin infections
  • Pain management
  • Imaging or advanced screening
  • Therapies such as laser or regenerative treatments

In addition to routine and ongoing care, there are two types of unpredictable expenses that most pet parents encounter over the course of their pet’s life: unexpected non-emergency care and true emergency care.

Unexpected, Non-Emergency Care

Unexpected but non-emergency issues are common and often time-sensitive, but they do not require an emergency hospital visit. These are the situations pet parents typically contact WoofDoctor on Wheels about and the types of concerns we are well-equipped to evaluate and treat through in-home visits, technician consults, or virtual care.

Examples include vomiting, diarrhea, hot spots, limping, sudden lethargy, ear infections, skin flare-ups, or illnesses that develop between routine visits.

Care for these situations may include:

  • A virtual vet call to help determine whether something is concerning
  • A veterinary exam or technician consultation, including travel fees
  • Diagnostic testing and lab work
  • Prescription medications
  • Follow-up visits to monitor progress or response to treatment

This category represents a significant portion of real-world veterinary spending, especially for puppies, seniors, and pets with chronic conditions.

Emergency Care

Emergency expenses are less common, but they tend to be the most financially impactful. These situations require immediate or around-the-clock care and are typically managed at emergency or specialty hospitals, not through WoofDoctor on Wheels.

Examples may include:

  • Severe trauma, such as being hit by a car
  • Suspected foreign body ingestion
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Sudden collapse or seizures
  • Acute abdominal pain
  • Life-threatening infections

Emergency care costs may include:

  • Emergency exam and triage fees
  • Hospitalization and overnight monitoring
  • Advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound, CT, or MRI
  • Surgery and anesthesia
  • Intravenous fluids and intensive treatments
  • Prescription medications
  • Recheck exams and follow-up visits

Because these events are unpredictable and often come with high one-time costs, pet insurance is still strongly recommended to help protect against emergency and specialty care expenses.

The Reality Gap: What We Expect vs What Care Actually Costs

Research consistently shows a large gap between what pet parents expect to spend and what they actually spend over their pet’s lifetime.

According to the 2025 Pet Lifetime of Care Study:

  • Dog owners expect to spend about $8,158 total over their dog’s life
  • In reality, lifetime care costs can reach $60,602 over approximately 15 years
  • That averages to about $4,040 per year

For cats:

  • Expected lifetime cost is $5,735
  • Actual lifetime cost can reach up to $47,106
  • The annual average is about $3,204

Even small companion animals, often assumed to be inexpensive, can cost nearly $15,000 over their lifetime.

Nearly half of pet owners report financial stress related to unexpected veterinary expenses, and almost 1 in 4 pet parents worry about affording a $250 vet bill. Many rely on borrowing, credit cards, or delaying care, not because they do not care, but because they were not prepared.

This reality gap does not just affect finances. It affects decisions such as:

  • Whether to pursue recommended diagnostics
  • Whether to schedule follow-up visits
  • Whether to address problems early or wait

Expected Costs at WoofDoctor on Wheels

The tables below provide estimated average annual costs for cats and dogs receiving care through WoofDoctor on Wheels. These examples are meant to help pet parents better understand how routine, expected, and unexpected non-emergency care can add up over the course of a year when paying per visit, rather than through a Care Plan. While every pet’s needs are different, these averages reflect the types of services many pets receive annually and offer a realistic starting point for planning.

These estimates focus on care commonly provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels, including annual wellness, preventative care, and urgent non-emergency visits that can typically be managed through in-home or virtual care. Emergency and specialty hospital costs are not included here as these are not services provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels and would require pet insurance to reduce costs.

How to Read These Estimates
It is important to remember that these figures represent averages, not exact totals. The actual cost of care for your pet may fall above or below these ranges depending on factors such as age, size, breed, health history, and how many visits or services are needed in a given year. Ranges are included because veterinary care is not one-size-fits-all, and even routine services like exams, diagnostics, or follow-up visits can vary based on time, complexity, and clinical findings.
These examples also do not include recurring long-term medications such as carprofen, apoquel, librela, solensia, or other chronic therapies, which can significantly increase annual costs for pets managing ongoing conditions. In addition, while it is impossible to predict every scenario, most pets will require at least one unexpected, non-emergency visit each year, whether for illness, injury, or a sudden change in health that needs timely attention.
We encourage pet parents to use these tables as a framework and create a similar estimate for their own pet based on age, lifestyle, and known health needs. If you are unsure where your pet fits, you can skip ahead to the section later in this guide on how to choose the best Care Plan for your pet, which walks through common scenarios and helps match pets to the level of care they are most likely to need.

Why We Created Care Plans

We created WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans because pet parents deserve a better way to plan for care, one that reflects how veterinary medicine actually works today.

Care Plans were designed to:

  • Spread annual veterinary costs over predictable monthly payments
  • Reduce the financial shock of routine and unexpected care
  • Make it easier to say “yes” to doctor-recommended services
  • Encourage proactive, preventative medicine
  • Provide access to both in-home and virtual veterinary support
  • Offer flexible savings with no exclusions

Instead of facing one large bill after another, Care Plans smooth costs over time and help families prepare for both routine care and the unexpected.

Think of it the same way many families plan for human healthcare, not just for emergencies, but for annual checkups, ongoing care, and early intervention that leads to better long-term outcomes.

Because Your Pet Is Family

Most pet parents do not think of their pets as “animals.”
They think of them as family.

And when it comes to family, the goal is the same:

  • Be prepared
  • Catch problems early
  • Avoid unnecessary stress
  • Choose the best care possible

WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans exist to support that goal by turning uncertainty into clarity, surprise expenses into planning, and difficult financial decisions into manageable, informed choices.

What Are Care Plans? A Simpler Way to Pay for Your Pet’s Care

A WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plan is a 12-month membership for your pet that bundles veterinary services, built-in savings, and flexible account credit into one predictable monthly payment, designed to help you plan for both the care you expect each year and the unexpected, non-emergency needs that arise along the way.

Care Plans are our version of a payment plan for your pet’s veterinary care, built around the services pets are most likely to use throughout the year. Instead of paying for exams, visits, diagnostics, and treatments as they arise, Care Plans allow you to plan ahead and spread the cost of care evenly over 12 months. This helps avoid large, unexpected invoices at individual appointments and makes budgeting for your pet’s care far more manageable.

Included in Every Care Plan

Each WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plan includes:

  • Covered doctor visits and travel fees, plan based coverage starting with 1 included visit (and travel)
  • In-home veterinary technician consults, including exam and travel fees
  • Virtual veterinary care, a call with our technician, coordinated with Dr. Cifranick, for support without a full exam
  • Thermal imaging, a non-invasive screening tool to help identify and pinpoint pain or inflammation

These core services are included in every plan, including the Limited Care Plan, and ensure reliable access to care when your pet needs it.

Additional Benefits in Essential, Complete, & Premium Care Plans

Higher-tier Care Plans also include:

  • Instant Account Credit that can be used toward any service, product, treatment, medication, diagnostic, or therapy provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels
  • Automatic bonus discounts on additional services and products after your account credit is used
  • Savings on commonly prescribed medications

These added benefits provide greater flexibility and increased savings for pets who require more frequent care or ongoing management.

Designed for Both Expected & Unexpected Care

WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans are intentionally flexible and designed to reflect how veterinary care actually works in real life.Unlike many traditional wellness plans that limit benefits to routine services only, Care Plans can be used toward ANY service we provide, including:

  • Exams
  • Diagnostics
  • Labs
  • Medications
  • Surgeries
  • Dental cleanings
  • Preventatives
  • Therapies
  • Imaging
  • Spay/neuter
  • Chronic condition management

If we offer the service, your Care Plan can apply to it.

This flexibility allows Care Plans to support both the care you expect each year and the unexpected, non-emergency issues that often arise between routine visits.

What Your Care Plan Covers (And Why It Matters)

Doctor Visits (Included in Every Plan)

What This Covers
Each Care Plan includes in-home veterinary visits with Dr. Cifraick that cover both the exam fee and the travel fee. This means the cost of getting the veterinarian to your home and performing the physical examination is already included in your plan.

Covered components:

  • In-home visit with Dr. Cifranick:
    • Travel fee
    • Exam fee

What This Does Not Cover
Services and products provided during the visit are not automatically included in the doctor visit itself. These may include:

  • Diagnostic tests (bloodwork, imaging, lab work)
  • Treatments or procedures
  • Surgeries
  • Medications or supplies

However, these additional services can be paid for using your Instant Account Credit or discounted under your Care Plan once your credit is used.

What To Use Doctor Visits For
Doctor visits can be used for both routine and unexpected care, including:

  • Annual or semi-annual wellness exams
  • Sick visits for new or worsening symptoms
  • Follow-up exams to monitor ongoing conditions
  • Evaluating changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, or energy
  • Addressing concerns that require a veterinarian’s exam rather than a technician visit

Why Doctor Visits Matter
Selecting a Care Plan with the appropriate number of doctor visits allows pet parents to schedule veterinary exams without hesitation, whether for routine, preventative care or unexpected concerns that arise during the year. Instead of weighing whether a visit fits into the budget at that moment, pet parents can focus on timing, comfort, and what is best for their pet, making it easier to say “yes” to care when it is needed.

Technician Consults (Included in Every Plan)

What This Covers
Each Care Plan includes in-home veterinary technician consults, with both the exam fee and travel fee covered. These appointments are performed by a licensed veterinary technician under the direction of Dr. Cifranick and are designed to support diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care without requiring a full veterinarian exam when one is not necessary.

Technician consults may also be scheduled when additional medical information or follow-up care is needed after a veterinary exam or medical concern. In many cases, Dr. Cifranick may recommend a technician visit instead of a full recheck appointment when the goal is to gather diagnostics, provide therapy, or monitor progress over time.

Covered components:

  • In-home visit with a Veterinary Technician
    • Travel fee
    • Exam fee

What This Does Not Cover
Services and products provided during the visit are not automatically included in the technician consult itself. These may include:

  • Diagnostic tests (bloodwork, imaging, lab work)
  • Treatments or procedures
  • Medications or supplies
  • Routine wellness services like nail trims, anal gland expression, early cleanings, or ear plucks

However, these additional services can be paid for using your Instant Account Credit or discounted under your Care Plan once your credit is used.

What To Use Technician Visits For
Technician consults are appropriate when your pet needs medical follow-up or monitoring but does not require a full veterinarian exam.

Common uses include:

  • Doctor-directed follow-ups after a veterinary exam, surgery, or illness
  • Monitoring chronic conditions such as skin, ear, allergy, pain, or mobility issues
  • Collecting diagnostic samples such as blood, urine, or fecal samples
  • Wound checks, suture removal, or post-procedure rechecks
  • Puppy or kitten growth check-ins and booster vaccinations
  • Weight, nutrition, mobility, or pain assessments
  • Medication assistance or administration guidance
  • Thermal imaging scans and follow-up assessments, when indicated
  • Ultrasound imaging (abdominal or cardiac, when indicated)
  • Allergy testing
  • Fluid administration
  • Booster vaccinations

During these visits, findings are communicated directly to Dr. Cifranick to ensure continuity of care and timely adjustments to your pet’s treatment plan.

Two Types of Veterinary Technician Appointments

Veterinary technician appointments at WoofDoctor on Wheels fall into two distinct categories, based on the type of care your pet needs.

  1. Doctor-Directed Technician Appointments: These appointments are medical in nature and are scheduled based on a recommendation from Dr. Cifranick. Doctor-directed technician appointments are commonly used to support ongoing medical care or follow-up after a veterinary exam. They include:
  • Travel fee (covered as Technician Consult)
  • Technician exam or consult fee (covered as Technician Consult)
  • Medical services provided during the visit (not included as Technician Consult but payable using Account Credit or eligible for Care Plan discounts)
  1. Routine Wellness Technician Appointments: Routine wellness appointments focus on comfort, hygiene, and preventive care. These services are straightforward and predictable and do not involve a technician exam or consult. They include:
  • Service
  • Travel fee
  • No technician exam fee

Because no exam is charged for these services, routine wellness appointments are not deducted from Care Plan technician consults. However, If your Care Plan includes Instant Account Credit, that credit may be used toward routine wellness services or any other service provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels.

Examples include:

  • Nail trims
  • Anal gland expression
  • Ear cleanings or ear plucks
  • Sanitary shaves

Why Technician Consults Matters

Including technician consults in your Care Plan makes it easier to access care quickly when your pet needs attention, without automatically requiring a full veterinary exam. This is especially valuable for follow-ups recommended by Dr. Cifranick, as well as for urgent concerns or changes that need timely evaluation but may not require a veterinarian visit right away.

Because these visits take place in the comfort of your home, pets often experience less stress, and families can address concerns sooner. This faster, more flexible access helps prevent delays, supports early intervention, and ensures your pet receives the right level of care at the right time.

Virtual Vet Care (Included in Every Plan)

What This Covers

Virtual Vet Care, also called Tech-Connect, includes phone or virtual appointments with a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). These appointments provide timely guidance, education, and triage support when questions or concerns arise.

These virtual technician appointments are designed to help you understand what you’re seeing at home and determine the most appropriate next step, whether that is monitoring at home, scheduling a technician visit, or arranging an in-home veterinary exam.

What This Does Not Cover

Virtual Vet Care does not replace a veterinary exam.

During a phone or virtual appointment, veterinary technicians:

  • Cannot diagnose medical conditions
  • Cannot prescribe medications or treatments without consulting with Dr. Cifranick

If your concern requires a physical exam, diagnostics, or treatment, the technician will guide you on next steps and help coordinate appropriate care.

What To Use Virtual Vet Care For

Because not every concern requires a house call, Virtual Vet Care is ideal for those moments when you are unsure what to do next.

Pet parents often use Tech-Connect when they are thinking:

  • “Is this normal?”
  • “Do I need an appointment?”
  • “Is this concerning?”
  • “How should I adjust this medication?”

Virtual Vet Care is especially helpful for:

  • Helping decide whether an in-home visit is needed
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Skin or eye concerns
  • Bite wounds or bee stings
  • Ear cleaning techniques and home care guidance
  • Recognizing signs of pain or illness
  • Post-operative care questions
  • Traveling with pets or preventing car sickness
  • Puppy and kitten care essentials
  • Dogs experiencing their first heat cycle
  • Arthritis management options, including Librela and Solensia
  • Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
  • Stress reduction for cats, including during home renovations
  • Emergency preparedness guidance
  • Physical rehabilitation advice
  • Behavioral concerns and training support
  • Diet and nutrition questions
  • Senior pet care strategies
  • Environmental enrichment and mental stimulation
  • Preventative wellness planning

During these visits, pet parents may also share photos or videos, which often helps clarify concerns and guide next steps.

To learn more about Virtual Vet Care (aka Tech-Connect), visit:

Why Virtual Vet Care Matters

Virtual Vet Care gives pet parents fast, convenient access to professional guidance when questions or concerns arise, without automatically scheduling an in-home visit. Many WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans include access to Tech-Connect, allowing pet parents to speak with a Registered Veterinary Technician between visits for education, triage, and follow-up support.

This service helps determine the right next step, whether that is monitoring at home, scheduling a technician consult, or arranging a veterinary exam. By providing timely guidance early, Virtual Vet Care helps prevent unnecessary visits, reduces delays when care is needed, and ensures in-person appointments are reserved for situations that truly require them.

For pet parents, this means greater confidence and peace of mind between visits. Instead of guessing or waiting, you can get clarity quickly, address concerns sooner, and make informed decisions about your pet’s care, all while keeping care coordinated within your veterinary team.

Thermal Imaging (Included in Every Plan)

Thermal imaging is a fast, non-invasive screening tool that uses infrared technology to detect temperature differences on the surface of your pet’s body. Areas of increased or decreased heat can indicate inflammation, pain, altered blood flow, or changes in how your pet is using their body.

The scan is completely painless, does not require sedation, and can be performed quickly during an in-home visit or technician consult.

What Thermal Imaging Can Help Identify

Thermal imaging may help highlight:

  • Early inflammation
  • Areas of pain or discomfort
  • Joint irritation
  • Musculoskeletal strain or compensation patterns
  • Asymmetries between limbs or joints

Because inflammation and altered movement patterns often appear before visible limping or behavioral changes, thermal imaging can help identify concerns earlier in the process.

What Thermal Imaging Does Not Do

Thermal imaging is not a diagnostic test on its own. It does not:

  • Diagnose specific conditions
  • Replace a veterinary exam
  • Replace imaging such as X-rays or ultrasound

Instead, thermal imaging is used as a screening and monitoring tool. If abnormalities are identified, additional evaluation or diagnostics may be recommended to determine the underlying cause.

When Thermal Imaging Is Most Useful

Thermal imaging is commonly used:

  • As a baseline assessment for active, athletic, or working pets
  • To monitor chronic conditions such as arthritis or mobility issues
  • During follow-up visits to track response to treatment or therapy
  • When subtle changes in movement, posture, or comfort are suspected
  • As part of proactive wellness and pain management planning

It is especially helpful for pets who may hide pain or compensate quietly, such as senior pets or stoic breeds.

Why Thermal Imaging Matters

Thermal imaging helps bring attention to changes that may not yet be obvious during a physical exam alone. By identifying areas of concern earlier, pet parents and the veterinary team can take steps to address issues before they progress or become more difficult to manage.

As part of a Care Plan, thermal imaging supports a proactive, preventative approach to mobility, comfort, and long-term quality of life, helping pets stay active and comfortable for as long as possible.

Instant Account Credit (Select Plans)

Instant Account Credit is a built-in dollar amount included in certain WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans that can be used toward any service, product, treatment, medication, or procedure provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels.

Think of it as your pet’s own annual healthcare fund, similar to a Flexible Spending Account, but designed specifically for veterinary care. Your credit is pre-loaded into your account and ready to use throughout the year, helping reduce out-of-pocket costs as services are needed.

What This Covers

Instant Account Credit can be used toward any charge issued by WoofDoctor on Wheels, including services provided by either a veterinarian or veterinary technician.

Your credit may be applied to:

  • Exams or Consults beyond those included in your care plan
  • Vaccinations
  • Laboratory tests and screenings
  • Diagnostic imaging such as X-rays or ultrasound
  • Medications and prescription therapies
  • Dental cleanings
  • Surgical procedures
  • Preventative medications
  • Chronic condition management
  • Therapeutic services such as laser therapy or PRP
  • ANYTHING offered by WoofDoctor on Wheels

Nothing is excluded.
If the service, product, medication, or treatment is offered by WoofDoctor on Wheels, your Instant Account Credit can be applied to it.

Instant Account Credit by Care Plan Tier

  • Limited Care Plan: No Instant Account Credit
  • Essential Care Plan: $400 Instant Account Credit
  • Complete Care Plan: $600 Instant Account Credit
  • Premium Care Plan: $800 Instant Account Credit

What This Does Not Cover

Instant Account Credit does not apply to services provided outside of WoofDoctor on Wheels, such as emergency or specialty hospital care.

It also does not replace the need for emergency care when that level of treatment is required. Emergency and specialty services are discussed separately later in this guide.

Aside from those limitations, there are no exclusions on how your Instant Account Credit can be used within WoofDoctor on Wheels.

Why Instant Account Credit Matters

Instant Account Credit is one of the most flexible and valuable parts of a WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plan.

Because it can be used for any service your pet needs, it allows pet parents to apply their Care Plan benefits where they matter most, whether that is preventative care, diagnostics, treatment, or managing a chronic condition. There are no categories to worry about, no restrictions on how the credit is spent, and no claims to file.

This flexibility helps remove guesswork and stress when unexpected needs arise. Instead of deciding whether a service fits into the budget at that moment, pet parents can focus on what their pet needs and use their pre-loaded credit accordingly.

If you renew your Care Plan at the same tier or higher, any unused Instant Account Credit rolls over, allowing you to continue building a buffer for future care.

Bonus Discount (Select Plans)

Bonus Discounts are built-in savings that automatically apply after your Instant Account Credit has been fully used. Instead of your savings ending once your credit runs out, your Care Plan continues to reduce costs for the remainder of the plan year.

There is nothing you need to activate or request. Once your credit balance reaches zero, your Bonus Discount is applied automatically to eligible charges.

What This Covers

Bonus Discounts apply to everything billed by WoofDoctor on Wheels, including services and products provided by both veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Your discount applies to:

  • Doctor visits and technician consults beyond those included in your care plan
  • Diagnostic testing and laboratory work
  • Imaging such as X-rays or ultrasound
  • Medications and prescription therapies
  • Dental cleanings
  • Surgical procedures
  • Preventative medications
  • Chronic condition management
  • Therapeutic services such as laser therapy or PRP
  • ANYTHING offered by WoofDoctor on Wheels

There are no service categories to track and no restrictions on how the discount is used. If it is a service or product provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels, your Bonus Discount applies.

Bonus Discount by Care Plan Tier

Once your Instant Account Credit is used, the following discounts apply automatically for the remainder of your plan year:

  • Essential Care Plan: 5 percent off
  • Complete Care Plan: 7 percent off
  • Premium Care Plan: 10 percent off

What This Does Not Cover

Bonus Discounts do not apply to services provided outside of WoofDoctor on Wheels, such as emergency or specialty hospital care.

Aside from that limitation, there are no exclusions.
There are no “routine-only” restrictions, no caps on usage, and no hidden conditions.

Why Bonus Discounts Matter

Bonus Discounts ensure that your savings do not stop once your Instant Account Credit is used. Whether your pet needs additional care later in the year, develops an unexpected issue, or requires ongoing treatment for a chronic condition, your Care Plan continues to help reduce costs.

This feature adds a second layer of financial protection and flexibility. Instead of worrying about when your savings end, pet parents can feel confident knowing that their Care Plan continues to support them throughout the year, regardless of how or when care is needed.

There is no fine print.
No exceptions.
No “routine services only” limitations.

Your savings continue automatically, so you can stay focused on your pet, not your invoice.

5% Off Common Medications (Select Plans)

Care Plans include an automatic 5% discount on select commonly prescribed medications that many pets take on a regular basis. This discount is designed to help reduce the ongoing cost of medications pet parents are already purchasing throughout the year.

To offer the best pricing and consistency, these medications are provided directly through WoofDoctor on Wheels, rather than through the Blue Rabbit online pharmacy.

What This Covers

The 5% medication discount applies to these commonly used prescriptions:

  • Credelio Quattro
  • Advantage Multi
  • Carprofen
  • Galliprant
  • Apoquel
  • Zenrelia

These medications are frequently used for parasite prevention, pain management, allergy control, and chronic condition support. The discount applies automatically when these medications are dispensed in-house by WoofDoctor on Wheels.

What This Does Not Cover

This discount does not apply to medications filled through external or online pharmacies, including BlueRabbit.

It also does not apply to medications not listed above or specialty medications that are not dispensed directly by WoofDoctor on Wheels.

Why Medication Discounts Matter

For pets on ongoing medications, even small savings add up over time. A consistent discount on medications you already use helps reduce monthly expenses and makes long-term treatment plans more sustainable.

By offering these medications in-house, WoofDoctor on Wheels helps streamline care, improve continuity, and ensure pet parents receive the most value from their Care Plan, without needing to manage multiple pharmacies or pricing structures.

How Care Plans Help Save You Money

The examples below show how WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans compare to pay-as-you-go pricing over a typical year. Each chart reflects common ways pets use care, including routine visits, technician support, virtual care, and account credit.

Actual savings will vary based on how much care your pet needs, but most families see greater value as usage increases, especially when unexpected, non-emergency needs arise during the year.

Limited Care Plan: Save $159 Annually

SERVICE REGULAR PRICE QUANTITY TOTAL VALUE CARE PLAN PRICE
Doctor Visit (Exam + Travel Fee) $180 1 $180
Technician Consults (Exam + Travel Fee) $90 1 $90
Virtual Vet Care $25 6 $150
Thermal Imaging Scan $75 1 $75
TOTAL $495 $336
MONTHLY $28/mo
SAVINGS $159 Annually

These scenarios are estimates based on typical usage patterns. Services listed as unlimited are shown using an estimated number of visits over a year. Your pet may use fewer or more depending on their individual needs.
Care Plans are designed to support both the care you expect and the care you cannot always predict. We recommend assuming your pet will require both their required annual visits and at least one unexpected, non-emergency concern during the year, which is common for most pets. Senior pets or pets with chronic conditions may need more care.

The more care your pet needs throughout the year, the more value a Care Plan provides. Even in lower-use years, Care Plans help spread costs over time and reduce financial pressure at appointments. In higher-use years, built-in credits and automatic discounts can result in significant savings compared to paying for each visit individually.

Care Plans are not about predicting the future perfectly. They are about making it easier to say yes to care when your pet needs it, without financial stress or surprises.

How to Choose the Right Care Plan for Your Pet

Choosing the right Care Plan starts with understanding your pet, not just the plan names. Every pet has different needs based on age, health, lifestyle, and history, and the right plan is the one that best matches how your pet actually uses veterinary care.

There are two helpful ways to approach this decision:

  1. Start by reviewing the Care Plans and which types of pets they are designed for
  2. Then think through what your pet typically needs each year, including both expected care and unexpected visits

Using both approaches together helps pet parents choose a plan with confidence, rather than guessing or underestimating future needs.

Start With the Care Plans

Limited Care – Ideal for:

  • Healthy adult pets with no ongoing medical concerns
  • Pets who typically only need one veterinary exam per year
  • Families looking for an affordable entry point into Care Plans

This plan works best for pets with minimal healthcare needs and owners who want basic coverage for routine care and occasional guidance.

Essential Care – Ideal for:

  • Pets with occasional questions or mild, well-managed conditions
  • Families who frequently reach out with questions or concerns
  • Pet parents who value regular virtual support and technician guidance

This plan is a good fit for pets who are generally healthy but need more frequent check-ins, follow-ups, or reassurance throughout the year.

Complete Care – Ideal for:

  • Puppies and kittens
  • Pets who need multiple visits per year
  • Pets with recurring issues such as ear infections, skin problems, gastrointestinal concerns, or allergies
  • Families looking for stronger savings on preventatives, diagnostics, and treatments

This plan is designed for pets who predictably use veterinary care more often, whether due to age, development, or recurring medical needs.

Premium Care – Ideal for:

  • Pets with chronic or complex medical conditions
  • High-utilization families who want maximum flexibility
  • Pet parents who value the highest level of account credit, discounts, and ongoing support

This plan offers the most comprehensive support for pets who require frequent monitoring, ongoing treatment, or long-term medical management.

Then Think About Your Pet’s Actual Needs

After reviewing the Care Plans, the next step is to think realistically about what your pet is likely to need over the course of a typical year, not just in a perfect scenario, but in real life.

We recommend pet parents make a simple list that includes:

  • Your pet’s age and life stage
  • Whether your pet is generally healthy, young, senior, or managing a chronic condition
  • How many veterinary exams, rechecks, or follow-up visits your pet typically needs in a year
  • What preventative care is expected annually, such as vaccines, parasite prevention, screening tests, or dental care
  • What types of issues have come up unexpectedly in the past, such as vomiting, diarrhea, ear or skin infections, limping, or other urgent but non-emergency concerns
  • What to reasonably plan for in the future, even if your pet is currently healthy. Most pets will need at least one unexpected visit each year

This exercise helps turn abstract plan descriptions into a practical decision and encourages pet parents to choose a plan that accounts for both expected care and the unexpected needs that almost always arise.

After reviewing the Care Plans, the next step is to think realistically about how your pet typically uses veterinary care over the course of a year.

Rather than focusing on dollar amounts, it helps to think in terms of visits, touchpoints, and support. We recommend pet parents make a simple list that includes:

  • Your pet’s age and life stage
  • Whether your pet is generally healthy, young, senior, or managing a chronic condition
  • How often your pet usually needs to be seen in person, including exams or rechecks
  • Whether your pet benefits from technician follow-ups or virtual guidance between visits
  • What preventative care is expected annually
  • What kinds of issues have come up unexpectedly in the past, even if they were minor (e.g., vomiting, diarrhea, ear or skin infections, limping, or other urgent but non-emergency concerns)
  • What to reasonably plan for in the future, even if your pet is currently healthy.

Even very healthy pets tend to need care outside of routine wellness visits. Vomiting, diarrhea, ear or skin infections, limping, medication questions, and “something just seems off” moments are all normal parts of veterinary care.

Plan for a Realistic Year, Not a Perfect One

When choosing a Care Plan, it’s important to plan for a realistic year, not a perfectly predictable one. Most pets will need at least one unexpected, non-emergency visit each year, and many will need more.

If you are deciding between two plans, a helpful rule of thumb is to choose the plan that gives you a little extra breathing room. That buffer makes it easier to schedule visits, ask questions, and follow recommendations without second-guessing whether now is the “right” time.

Care Plans work best when they support both the care you expect and the care you didn’t see coming.

What to Expect Based on Life Stage

Healthy Adult Pets

Most healthy adult pets benefit from consistent preventative care, which often includes:

  • One to two comprehensive veterinary exams per year
  • Annual vaccinations based on species, lifestyle, and risk factors
    • Cats:
      • Core: FVRCP
      • Non-Core (based on individual risk factors): FeLV
    • Dogs:
      • Core: Distemper combination, Bordetella, Canine Influenza
      • Non-Core (based on individual risk factors): Leptospirosis, Lyme Disease
  • Rabies vaccination based on state regulations
    • 1 Year Booster
    • Every 3 years, if permitted by state regulations (e.g., South Carolina). Otherwise, every year.
  • Parasite prevention for fleas and heartworms
  • Annual heartworm test
  • Routine screening & bloodwork, as recommended

Even healthy pets often need one or two additional visits each year for common, non-emergency concerns such as vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections, skin irritation, or limping. These visits are normal and should be expected when planning care. When these unexpected issues arise, they may require: additional visits, diagnostic testing or screening, short-term medications, or follow-up visits to monitor improvement or response to treatment.

Additional preventive or periodic needs may include:

  • Additional veterinary exams, technician consults, virtual technician visits, or follow-ups
  • Diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, X-rays, or ultrasound
  • Dental cleanings every few years, depending on oral health
  • Short-term medications (antibiotics, anti-nausea medications, anti-inflammatories)
  • Anxiety-related medications for travel, fireworks, or storms
  • Routine care such as nail trims, ear cleaning or plucking, and anal gland expression
  • Supplements to support long-term health, such as fish oil or joint supplements

Puppies & Kittens

Young pets require more frequent visits during their first year to support growth, immune development, and behavior.

During the first year of life, visits typically focus on:

  • Growth and development monitoring
  • Vaccine series
  • Parasite prevention guidance
  • Nutrition and feeding recommendations
  • Early behavior and socialization support

For Healthy puppies and kittens, you can expect the following preventive care during their first year:

  • Approximately four exams during the first year, often aligned with vaccine appointments
  • Vaccines typically begin around 6–8 weeks of age and are boosted every 3–4 weeks until at least 16 weeks, with timing adjusted based on individual needs.
    • Cats:
      • Core: FVRCP, FeLV (recommended for all kittens under one year of age, regardless of lifestyle)
    • Dogs:
      • Core: Distemper combination, Bordetella, Canine Influenza
      • Non-Core (based on individual risk factors): Leptospirosis, Lyme Disease
  • Rabies vaccines administered based on state regulations:
    • Initial given at 12-16 weeks of age, depending on state regulations
    • 1 Year Booster
  • Parasite prevention medication to prevent fleas & heartworms (either monthly preventative pill or annual injections) – confirm with katie, can puppies or kittens get the injections?
  • Annual Heartworm test

Even healthy puppies and kittens may still require additional visits for common concerns such as gastrointestinal upset, skin or ear infections, limping or minor injuries, or parasite concerns.  These visits are normal and should be expected when planning care. When these unexpected issues arise, they may require: additional visits, diagnostic testing or screening, short-term medications, or follow-up visits to monitor improvement or response to treatment.

Additional preventive or periodic needs may include:

  • Diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, X-rays, or ultrasound
  • Short-term medications (antibiotics, anti-nausea medications, anti-inflammatories)
  • Anxiety-related medications for travel, fireworks, or storms
  • Routine care such as nail trims, ear cleaning or plucking, and anal gland expression
  • Additional veterinary exams, technician consults, virtual technician visits, or follow-ups

Seniors or Pets with Chronic Conditions

In addition to the care needed for a healthy adult pet, ongoing care for pets with chronic conditions may include:

  • More frequent veterinary exams and rechecks
  • Regular lab monitoring
  • Prescription diets or targeted nutritional support
  • Long-term medications
  • Monthly injections such as Librela or Solensia
  • Diagnostic imaging such as X-rays or ultrasound
  • Advanced diagnostics when indicated
  • Supportive therapies such as laser therapy or PRP
  • Co-management with board-certified veterinary specialists without referral delays

Pets with chronic conditions should also be expected to experience occasional flare-ups or unrelated illnesses. These pets often need:

  • Additional diagnostic testing
  • Short-term medications for secondary issues
  • More frequent monitoring and adjustments to care plans

Planning for these needs helps reduce surprises and allows for proactive management rather than crisis-driven care.

Benefits of Enrolling in a Care Plan

WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans are designed to remove barriers to care, reduce financial stress, and support better health outcomes over time. They combine predictable budgeting with flexible, real-world veterinary support, helping pet parents focus on care instead of cost.

Predictable Monthly Payments Make Care Easier to Budget

Instead of facing large, one-time bills at individual appointments, Care Plans spread the cost of your pet’s care over 12 predictable monthly payments.

This makes veterinary care easier to plan for and helps avoid financial strain when routine or unexpected needs arise. As veterinary costs continue to increase nationwide, Care Plans offer a way to stay ahead of rising expenses with consistent, manageable payments.

You Save On The Care You’re Already Buying

Care Plans are built around the services and products pets actually use, including:

  • Preventative medications
  • Diagnostics and lab work
  • Chronic condition management
  • Dental care
  • Treatments and therapies

Rather than offering savings on services you may never need, Care Plans help reduce the cost of care you are already providing.

Instant Account Credit Gives You Maximum Flexibility

Instant Account Credit acts like your pet’s own annual healthcare fund, similar to a Flexible Spending Account for healthcare.

This credit can be used immediately and applied to any service, treatment, procedure, medication, or product provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels, whether delivered by a veterinarian or veterinary technician.

Unlike restrictive wellness plans, there are:

  • No service categories to track
  • No limitations on how credit is used
  • No exclusions for age or pre-existing conditions

This flexibility is one of the biggest differentiators of WDOW Care Plans.

Savings Continue Even After Your Credit Is Used

Once your Instant Account Credit is used, automatic Bonus Discounts continue for the rest of your plan year:

  • Essential Care: 5% off
  • Complete Care: 7% off
  • Premium Care: 10% off

These discounts apply broadly to services, diagnostics, treatments, procedures, medications, and preventatives provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels, ensuring savings do not stop midway through the year.

You Can Say “Yes” to Care More Often

One of the most meaningful benefits of Care Plans is how they change decision-making.

By reducing financial pressure and spreading costs over time, Care Plans make it easier to:

  • Schedule recommended follow-ups
  • Address concerns early
  • Proceed with diagnostics or treatments when advised

Since WoofDoctor on Wheels does not accept CareCredit or offer traditional payment plans, Care Plans fill an important gap by providing a structured, predictable way to afford care without delaying treatment.

Earlier Care Leads to Better Outcomes

Care Plans support foundational and preventative medicine, encouraging regular exams, monitoring, and follow-up care.

Early detection allows:

  • Health issues to be addressed before they worsen
  • Treatment plans to be simpler and more effective
  • Long-term costs to remain lower

Pets who receive consistent, proactive care tend to experience better comfort, mobility, and quality of life over time.

No Claims, No Reimbursements, No Fine Print

Unlike pet insurance or insurance-based wellness plans:

  • There are no claims to file
  • No waiting for reimbursements
  • No exclusions based on age or pre-existing conditions

All Care Plan benefits, credits, and discounts are applied automatically at the time of service, making the experience seamless for pet parents.

Unused Credit Can Roll Over

If you renew your Care Plan at the same tier or upgrade it, unused Instant Account Credit rolls over, allowing you to build a buffer for future care.

This feature helps protect against years when your pet needs more support than expected and provides added peace of mind.

Tailored to Your Pet, Not a One-Size-Fits-All Model

Care Plans are enrolled per pet, allowing each plan to reflect:

  • Your pet’s age and life stage
  • Health history and ongoing needs
  • Medication usage and anticipated care

This ensures your pet is supported across all services provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels, including exams, diagnostics, lab work, treatments, vaccinations, therapies, medications, procedures, surgeries, spay and neuter services, and dental care.

Peace of Mind & Long-Term Value

Care Plans help pet parents stay organized, proactive, and confident in their pet’s care. By combining predictable costs with flexible access to services, Care Plans allow families to focus on what matters most: time together and long-term health.

Preventative care, early intervention, and prompt treatment all contribute to better outcomes and a healthier, happier life for your pet.

A Note on Cost Savings

American pet-owning households were expected to spend an average of $1,733 on pet-related expenses in 2024, and that number continues to rise. Care Plans are designed to make it easier and more affordable for WoofDoctor on Wheels clients to provide high-quality care, no matter their pet’s age, species, or stage of health.

How Care Plans Differ From Pet Insurance

Many pet parents ask, “Do I need both a Care Plan and pet insurance?”
Often, the answer is yes, because they serve very different but complementary purposes.

WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans

WoofDoctor on Wheels Care Plans are designed to support the day-to-day, real-life veterinary care your pet actually uses.

They:

  • Apply to services provided directly by WoofDoctor on Wheels
  • Have no exclusions for age, breed, or pre-existing conditions
  • Include care for pre-existing conditions, which most pet insurance plans do not
  • Have no deductibles
  • Do not require claims or reimbursement
Benefits are applied directly to your invoice at the time of service, reducing immediate out-of-pocket costs
  • Are priced based on the care your pet is most likely to use, not worst-case scenarios
  • Provide instant savings through included services, Instant Account Credit, and automatic discounts
  • Can be used for expected care, including preventative, routine, and chronic care
This includes wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, diagnostics, medications, chronic condition management, therapies, and follow-up visits you can reasonably anticipate each year.
  • Can be used for unexpected, non-emergency needs treated by WoofDoctor on Wheels
These are the concerns that arise between routine visits and still require timely veterinary attention, such as vomiting, diarrhea, ear or skin infections, limping, sudden changes in behavior, medication questions, or post-procedure rechecks. Instant Account Credit can be applied toward the care your pet needs when these issues occur.
  • Allow unused Instant Account Credit to roll over when you renew at the same or higher tier
  • Have stable pricing that does not change based on your pet’s age, health status, or claims history

Care Plans focus on access, affordability, and predictability, making it easier to say yes to recommended care throughout the year.

Pet Insurance

Pet insurance is designed to help protect against large, unpredictable expenses, especially those that occur outside of primary care.

Pet insurance typically:

  • Applies to services provided outside of WoofDoctor on Wheels, such as emergency hospitals or specialty clinics
  • Helps cover emergencies, accidents, and major illnesses
  • Is most valuable for hospitalization, surgery, and specialty care
  • Operates on a reimbursement model
You pay for veterinary services upfront and submit a claim to your insurance provider for reimbursement
  • Requires paying a monthly premium regardless of whether care is used
  • Often includes deductibles, exclusions, and waiting periods
  • Typically excludes pre-existing conditions
  • Has variable pricing based on your pet’s age, health history, breed, and location
  • May offer optional wellness add-ons, which are often limited or reimbursed only after payment

Insurance is especially important for protecting against high-cost, worst-case scenarios that cannot be planned for.

Why Many Pet Parents Use Both

Care Plans and pet insurance are not interchangeable. They are designed to work together.

  • Pet insurance helps protect against catastrophic or emergency expenses incurred at emergency hospitals or specialty centers
  • WDOW Care Plans support everything else: exams, diagnostics, medications, chronic care, follow-ups, preventative services, and unexpected non-emergency needs handled by WoofDoctor on Wheels

Together, they create a more complete approach to veterinary care. Insurance acts as a safety net for major emergencies, while Care Plans make everyday care easier, more affordable, and more consistent.

A Simple Way to Think About It

  • Insurance helps after something big happens
  • Care Plans help before, during, and between visits

Using both allows pet parents to plan confidently for routine and ongoing care while still being protected against major unexpected events.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access Virtual Veterinary Care?

Getting started with Virtual Veterinary Care is easy! You can reach out just like you normally would—by call, text, or email. Our team will triage your concern to decide what’s best: emergency care, an in-home visit, or a virtual technician consultation. If a virtual visit is the right fit, we’ll walk you through how it works and confirm your preferred contact method. Or, if you already know you want to meet virtually with Cheryl, you can book directly through our scheduling link, no triage needed (select button “Schedule a Call with a Vet Tech”). Either way, you’ll get quick, expert advice from the team who already knows your pet, without paying for a full in-person appointment when it isn’t necessary.

What happens to my unused Instant Account Credit?

If you renew your plan at the same or higher tier, the credit rolls over into the next year. If your plan expires or is canceled, unused benefits expire as well.

What happens if I cancel my care plan?

If you cancel within 30 days and haven’t used any benefits, the initial payment is refundable.
If benefits were used, you simply pay the difference between benefits used and payments made.

If you cancel, any unused benefits will also expire.

Will my plan auto-renew?

Yes. You will receive a reminder 30 days before renewal and may opt out if desired.

Will Complete or Premium cover all my pet’s needs?

It depends on how much care your pet requires. The Instant Account Credit covers a wide range of services—including some things insurance doesn’t cover—but pets needing more than the maximum credit will have additional out-of-pocket expenses (discounted at 5–10%).

Can I add multiple pets to the same plan?

No. Each pet has their own plan tailored to their unique medical needs.

Why choose WoofDoctor on Wheels?

We bring stress-free, expert veterinary care to your doorstep.
Our Care Plans make that care more affordable, predictable, and accessible.

Is a WDOW Care Plan really worth it for my pet?

Care Plans are designed to save money for most pets—but especially for pets who receive routine care, medications, or follow-up support during the year.

If your pet:

  • Sees the vet at least once a year
  • Uses preventatives or ongoing medications
  • Has occasional questions or needs follow-up care

…you’ll almost always save compared to paying as you go.

If your pet happens to need very little care in a given year, unused Account Credit can roll over when you renew your plan—so your money is not wasted.

Are there any hidden limitations or fine print?

No.

Your benefits apply automatically to your account.
There are no deductibles.
No reimbursement forms.
No exclusions for age or pre-existing conditions.

Everything is applied in real time at checkout, so you always know exactly what you’re paying.

How is this different from pet insurance or wellness plans?

Care Plans and pet insurance serve different purposes and often work best together.

Your WDOW Care Plan helps you budget for and save on the care you expect your pet to need, plus many things you don’t expect, as long as they’re provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels.

Pet insurance helps cover major emergencies, hospitalizations, or specialty care outside our clinic and typically involves deductibles and reimbursement.

Unlike traditional wellness plans, WDOW Care Plans:

  • Are not limited to routine care
  • Allow credit to be used for surgeries, dental cleanings, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Do not restrict how or when benefits are used
  • May be used for your pet, regardless of their pre-existing conditions

What if my pet doesn’t need much care this year?

If you don’t use all of your Instant Account Credit, it can roll over to the next year when you renew your plan at the same or higher tier.

This gives you a financial buffer if your pet needs more care later.

If you cancel or let the plan expire, unused benefits do not carry forward—so renewing ensures you retain that value.

What if my pet needs more care than the plan covers?

Your Instant Account Credit covers a wide range of services, but if your pet needs care beyond that amount, you still benefit from:

  • Automatic discounts on all additional services and products
  • Continued access to virtual care and support
  • Predictable monthly budgeting

Your plan reduces overall costs—even in higher-use years.

Can I upgrade or change plans later?

Yes. If your pet’s needs change, you can upgrade your Care Plan at any time.

Downgrades typically take effect at the next renewal period.
Our team is always happy to help you choose the plan that best fits your pet.

What happens if I need to cancel my Care Plan?

If you cancel within the first 30 days and no benefits have been used, your initial payment is fully refundable.

If benefits have been used, payments you’ve already made are applied toward those benefits. Any remaining balance would be due at cancellation.

If you cancel, any unused benefits will also expire.

This ensures fairness while still giving you flexibility.

What happens to my Care Plan if something changes?

We understand life happens.

If your situation changes, our team will work with you to review your options and help guide you through next steps with clarity and compassion.

How do I actually use my Care Plan benefits?

There’s nothing extra you need to do.

When you:

  • Schedule an appointment
  • Use virtual vet care
  • Purchase medications or services

Your benefits, credit, and discounts are automatically applied to your account.

You can always ask our team if you’d like an update on your remaining credit or benefits.

Is this a contract? Am I locked in?

Care Plans are 12-month memberships designed to spread care costs over time, not trap you. If you want to cancel your plan, you can. If you cancel within the first 30 days and haven’t used any benefits, the initial payment is refundable. If benefits were used, you simply pay the difference between benefits used and payments made. If you cancel or let your pet’s Care Plan expire, any unused benefits will also expire.

You’ll receive a renewal reminder before your plan renews, and you can opt out if needed.

Is this replacing regular pricing or forcing me to enroll?

No.

Care Plans are completely optional.
They exist to give clients a more affordable, predictable option for managing care—not to force participation.

You’ll always receive the same medical recommendations and quality of care, whether or not you’re enrolled.

Will enrolling change how my pet’s care is recommended?

No.

Care recommendations are always based on what’s medically best for your pet—not on plan enrollment.

In fact, Care Plans often help pet parents feel more comfortable saying “yes” to recommended care because costs are more manageable.

What about emergencies or specialty care?

Care Plans apply to services provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels. This may include urgent, non-emergency care provided by WoofDoctor on Wheels.

For emergency hospitals or specialty care outside our clinic, pet insurance is still recommended.

Many families use both together for full peace of mind.

How do I get started?

You can enroll:

  • Online through our Care Plan page
  • Using the direct enrollment link
  • By scanning the QR code on your rack card
  • With help from our team during your appointment

Your benefits begin immediately.

Still not sure which plan is right for your pet?

You don’t have to decide alone.

Our team is happy to walk you through your options and help you choose the plan that best fits your pet’s needs and your budget.
